仁寶電腦 陳壯岳 考上 PMP 心得分享

Studying in PM-ABC

After working as a PM for 7 years, I have a strong feeling that there must be a way to make the whole management process professional and systematic. Knowing PMP was the time I started acting as a PM. Without an intention of getting a PMP certificate, I was sitting to learn what PM should do, but did not digest the whole knowledge in detail. The connection among different sub-processes was not even considered as a necessary step of the study. The study had helped me to manage PM work in the past.

My newly on-board boss has a PMP certificate. During a performance review, he suggests to manage PM tasks more professional. The first though cross my mind is to get a PMP certificate to prove my expertise.

I met Roger in a branding conference few years ago. After that, PM-ABC has sent DMs to my email account from time to time. Therefore, I checked PM-ABC on the web and found it had a significant achievement on helping students get PMP certificates. I registered a PMP training class with PM-ABC immediately, and set a goal of getting a certificate right after the end of the class. I made it, and got the certificate within 3 days after the end of the class.

After getting my degree from the University, I had believed I would never get even a test for a certificate or a degree. I was wrong due to the PMP certificate! It is quite hard to prepare this test especially when you have a full-time job. Although endless tasks were assigned and kept me trapped, I managed to study in any possible fragmented time during my working hour. When I saw “Congratulation” appearing on the screen of the examination machine, all the sacrifice and effort got the payback eventually. It is worthy!

There are 5 reasons that PM-ABC can guarantee students successfully getting PMP certificates within a very short period of time.
1.The training material is well developed, not just a copy of raw material from PMBOK. More useful teaching material is the flow charts of relevant sub-processes.
2.Mind map charts and ITTO charts are the best summary of the PMBOK.
3.PM-ABC also teaches a best way of learning. There are 3 necessary and essential steps:
 Preparation of the lessons before the class
 Concentrate on what you don’t know or not are sure of during the class
 Reviewing the lesson right after the class
4.On-line evaluation system: this really helps student to check what they know before the class, during the class and after the class. Moreover, it checks if you are ready for PMP test. If not, the system even tells you which part is your weakness. You have a right direction to improve your preparation.
5.Assistance on applying for PMP test. Application of PMP test is quite complicated to the people not studying in PM-ABC. PM-ABC provides a guide book to teach you step-by-step in pictures from registration with PMI to enrolling the test in TW. Personally, I completed the whole process by no more than 10hr in total. This assistance leaves me more time on studying. Without the distraction of this lousy administrative process, I can 100% focus on my study toward the PMP certificate.

Although quite a lot of people think PM-ABC only trains students to get PMP certificate, I have a different opinion. Other PMP training organization might provide and share PM execution experience. However, the experience is very fragmented from PMP knowledge. If you are an experienced PM, PM-ABC will help you to re-organize the whole PM knowledge in a more systematic way. This will help you to make a decision with a wider view angle through 5 project stages. A decision in a planning stage might affect a task in the later close stage. PM-ABC has developed inter-connection throughout the whole PMP knowledge. This material really helps you to step further on your PM career.

One part of the training class will never be forgotten in my life. That is the reading club of our team. In the 1st day of the class, Roger asked us to establish a team and requested to conduct reading club weekly. I could not believe it. Because PM-ABC had such a good record, I decided to follow what he asked for. A coach was assigned to our team. She is a volunteer and very helpful to us. During a serial of reading club activities, we build a strong team. We shared experience and questions of any unclear part of the reading. Not only the coach provides the guide, but also all the teammates help each other on all the issues. We would like to help each other get the PMP certificates. When someone is behind the reading schedule, we remind him/her softly and encouraged him/her with our heart. In addition, one thing for sure is that we will become good friends and keep in touch even after this training class.

In PM-ABC, I got my PMP certificate efficiently, a team of good friends, and a piece of unforgotten memory. Thank you all in this period of my life.
