After I got the PMP certificate, I was able to convince my director that I am not only experienced but also a PMI authorized product manager. That made me more visible in my work environment and I was able to show my skill and professions in front of the top management. PMP didn't grant me a big promotion but it did provide me a different chance to show myself. With the certificate, I definitely got more chance and attention compared to other colleagues.
